Today, we start this newsletter with a question.
How did your journey toward ecological awareness begin?
In our upcoming webinar on August 14th, Emergence of Ecological Consciousness: A Transformative Journey, we’ll explore the three acts of our adaptation of the Hero’s Journey, starting with the powerful "Awakening" phase.
This transformative moment—when we realize the gravity of climate change—shapes our connection to the planet and fuels action.
Drawing inspiration from the ClimArts Contest entries, like Kai’s hopeful vision and Sayani’s urgent plea for change, we’ll explore the diversity of pathways to ecological consciousness.
Join us to reflect on your own journey, share insights, and discover how emotions like hope and grief can drive meaningful climate engagement. Register here to secure your spot!

“The statistics and experiences I have read in the past several years have awakened me in realizing just how severe climate change is. My submission is a reflection of the contrasting pathways we can choose which will determine our future. I am hopeful that we can come together as a species to make the right choice and save our planet.”

“I used a3 hand made paper and acrylic color watercolors in the painting. The painting shows the woman as the bearer and bearer of the world's vitality, with the earth in her womb and the infant and entire animal kingdom in her arms. On the right side, there are solar panels and plastic recycling. At the very bottom of the painting, the tragic future is shown. My art carries the message of making everyone aware of the tragic future that is destroying the fauna and flora, so to stop it we should use non-conventional energy, recycle plastic and alive greenery."

Waking up to the Climate Crisis
It's finally happening, the world is waking up to the climate crisis. Oil companies are in court for lying, the truth is coming out about climate breakdown, and millions are standing up for truth and action. All this is thanks to you — everyday people who care about our future — and are doing everything we can. It is only with our eyes wide open, that we have the opportunity to rebuild our world.

Youth Climate Literacy
From heat to flooding to wildfires, the 74 million children and youth in the United States increasingly face the realities of climate change. Despite this increasing impact on their lives, children and youth have insufficient opportunity to learn about climate change— its causes, consequences, and solutions.
