"In the coming weeks and months, those of us who care about climate change need to get off the mat and get back to work."

These urgent words from Jonathan Foley, Project Drawdown’s Executive Director, set the tone for this pivotal moment. And in an extraordinary move, Pope Leo interrupted his summer vacation last week to issue a global plea for climate action.

"Today, we live in a world that is burning, both because of global warming and armed conflicts," he declared.

Then, he renewed his commitment to go to the root cause of climate change "even when it requires the courage to oppose the destructive power of the princes of this world".

The message is clear: We must scale up our efforts.

But to do so meaningfully and sustainably, we must do it from the inside out while being mindful of how our actions will transform ourselves, others, and nature.

The Luna Moth Circle can help achieve this tall order goal.

We are happy to introduce reduced tuition on the Climate Change and Youth Mental Health course for both working professionals and students.

Students can register for CAN$500 when they apply here. Individuals working in the non-profit sector will receive 15% off the course cost applying here.

Mahrona Khan, Canada, Second Place Winner:

Today we are proud to announce the winner of the Second Place in our ClimArts Contest. Mahrona Khan’s powerful piece, "The Effects of Climate Change on Bee Pollination," echoes Foley’s and Pope Leo’s urgent call for action.

Her piece, which responded to the prompt "This is How Climate Change Affects Me", reflects her personal connection to nature. Growing up surrounded by lush gardens, buzzing bees, and vibrant flowers, Mahrona witnessed firsthand the delicate balance of ecosystems. She draws the attention to the threat climate change poses to pollinators like bees—and, by extension, the plants and food systems that depend on them.
Through her work, Mahrona reminds us that the thriving natural world she cherished growing up may vanish for future generations if action isn’t taken.

Congratulations, Mahrona, on your success!
